Orient of Tennessee Southern Jurisdiction,
Deputy of the Orient, SGIG
Arvin W. Glass

WELCOME to the TENNESSEE COUNCIL OF DELIBERATION web site.  Tennessee’s rich Scottish Rite heritage is now fifty-six years old and our Council of Deliberation continues on the path of progress.

Tennessee being a State of considerable length, the Orient was divided into 3 divisions with a Sectional Council of Deliberation established in the East, Middle and West divisions. The Deputy appoints an Area Coordinator for each Section who coordinates activities between the Consistories in that area. The Deputy maintains close communication with the Coordinators and schedules a visit to each division at least once per year. Each Consistory has an opportunity to host the Sectional Council of Deliberation session within its division. The sessions are not restricted to members of that section and the Fraters often attend sessions in the other divisions. Additionally, the Tennessee State Council of Deliberation meets each year in conjunction with our Grand Lodge session.

Those of you that visited our web site early on will instantly recognize that we have made some changes and added new material.  We will continue to work to increase its potential to share information and communicate with Scottish Rite Men and Ladies around the globe.

Our Orient has been selected as the site for the 124th Annual session of the United Supreme Council in 2K10. We are certainly cognizant of this great honor and it is not one that we will take lightly. We will spare no effort to make certain that you are received royally and treated graciously during your visit. We will have information pertinent to the upcoming session available for you on our web site so, check us out often for updates.

I hope you enjoy our site and will look in on us frequently. Thank you for visiting.

 Spes Mea In Deo Est,

 S.G.I.G. Arvin W. Glass 33o
Illustrious Grand Deputy for Tennessee
